WHS legislation requires an organisation and their managers to consult with workers about WHS matters that affect their workplace health or safety. This procedure caters for the three legal ways to consult via Agreed Arrangements, Committees and HSR – it will also work for combinations of those three methods.
You may start simple with Agreed Arrangements, but if one person requests an HSR in their workgroup the organisation MUST legally cater for that, and if five people request a Committee then the organisation MUST legally cater for that as well. This procedure will cater for all situations that may change over time within your workplace.
It covers topics like:
Daily communication between managers and workers
Toolbox Talks
Safety Alerts and Safety Memos
Face-to-face meetings
Site inductions
Training and information sessions
Voting in Committee Members and HSR nominees
The procedure come with six (6) forms to complement its implementation. These are:
Safety alert
Safety memo
Toolbox talk
HSR & HSE committee process
HSE committee meeting agenda and minutes template
WHS Issue Resolution Flowchart
The procedure and forms are all completely editable by you to customise to your business.
