RECOVERY PARTNERS: THE SAFETY EXPERTS
Health and Safety Committee Training
We deliver in-house health and safety committee training to organisations via a one-day training package for the purpose of upskilling new health and safety committee members. This course is based on current legislation, regulations and codes of practice. Where possible, we will incorporate your procedures and forms to maximise the relevance for participants.
Committee members must understand how it works, what their obligations are, and also the obligations of the organisation who they represent via their actions.
Core content from the session is as follows:
- Legal obligations
- WHS responsibilities
- Risk management
- Consultation
- Incident management
- Contractor management
- Safety management system
- Human behaviour
We encourage a high level of participation from all attendees. This is achieved via activities, case examples, and discussion. The training will run for five hours in total with breaks additional, so the entire time commitment is 6 hours (typically 9.30 am – 3.30 pm). Participants are provided with a copy of the presentation slides and workbook as a source for future reference.
